So there are lots of fun things about my job… one of them is naming. Sometimes, I get to put my two cents in about naming products…. Recently, it was about naming computer servers.
Here’s the catch… No one realizes how much fun Some guy can be.
In the case of computer servers, you can name a server SOMEGUY, and all of a sudden, you need to test SOMEGUY. One day, you may be working on SOMEGUY or need to test the capacity of SOMEGUY.
Resteraunts are the best. My family has contemplated buying a restaurant, and I decided a long time ago that Some Guys Place would be the name…. Why not!?

Oh my God – I had the best night last night, at Some Guys Place.
If you haven’t caught on, Some Guys Place would ROCK, but my family hasn’t bought in just yet….

That’s pretty funny. We recently named one of our tools here T.R.D.L. (pronounced turtle), which secretly stands for “The Reason Doug Left.” Everyone’s just been happily calling it Turtle.
