Ainsley, Derby, Ace of Cakes and more!

Written by on August 11th, 2008

Well, Ainsleygate 2008 has passed… She has her phone back, I think. I’ve mainly called her, but she called once or twice over the weekend. I just like staying active her in life any way I can, and when those resources (cell phone and webcam) are taken from her, I am cut out with no say or champion on my side.

Busy busy weekend kiddos… Thursday night Mike and I took Natalie out for her big 3-0 birthday. We went to the Bellmount for dinner and a few drinks. Nothing too late, nothing too crazy. Friday, I met Joey at his place and we hung in the pool after work for a while. It was so nice and relaxing, no one was there. From there, we had some pizza with Shannon (his roomie) and her friends Sarah and Amy while we caught the opening ceremonies of the Olypmics.

Friday night Joey and I met Natalie and Mike at Changs for a few pre-club drinks and then made our way over to Rain for a few hours of people watching and dancing. We ran into Allen, an old friend from my last job, who was out celebrating his birthday.

Saturday I had all these chores and stuff to do, but kinda didn’t follow through. I worked on Ainsley’s welcome home book for a bit and then went shopping with Nats at the Domain. Ruel had a sale so of course I got a few work shirts. We grabbed some takeout and watched From Hell at the house.

Sunday I was in work mode… I finished Ains’ book, changed my faucet bib in the back yard, pulled some weeds and made some derby shirts – they were AWESOME!  Joey’s friend Axle Rosie was skating, and of course my Natoriou$:

It was an awesome bout and The Rhinestone Cowgirls won!  Going into the match the underdog, they pulled it off and went home the winners!

After the bout, we went to the after party where I met who else than Mary Alice from Food Networks “Ace of Cakes”!  She was so nice and we tried not to make too big of a scene, but I LOVE THAT SHOW!

Now it’s back to Monday and another week.
